Qatar Olympic Sport Museum

Qatar Olympic Sport Museum

Seven varied galleries capture the imagination and enthuse visitors of all ages, interests and backgrounds. The project explores sport in Qatar and worldwide, delving into the origins and history of sports and the Olympics in particular. The project celebrates sporting heroes while encouraging visitors to be heroes themselves during physical activities which assess their sporting potential. Galleries highlight how sport has massive cultural and commercial impact, acknowledging some of thorny and controversial issues around sport today, before exploring the future of sport.

I led the interpretation on this ambitions project, consulting for KCA London. I liaised with curators, architects and designers to develop interpretation plans as well as leading workshops to shape and refine exhibit concepts. Across diverse, artefact rich, interactive and immersive exhibitions, I worked to ensure narratives were clear and exhibits appealed to wide audiences through different modes of engagement, ensuring they felt inclusive yet authoritative.
